Mixed Media (Hit or Miss)

mixed media

I am currently revisiting the process of art making and to be honest I want to try all the things even if I have no clue how to use them. In an attempt to not get overwhelmed I've decided to start an experimental sketchbook for mixed media. This sketchbook is 9”x12” an ideal size for experimentation. It is not too small so that I can actually have an opportunity to get a decent feel for the medium to decide if I like it or not and it is not too large so that if I do not like a medium I do not have to work with it forever. I do realize that some pieces I will love and some I might feel like what happened so I have dubbed this sketchbook my "hit or miss" sketchbook. Regardless to whether or not a particular page will be a “hit” or a “miss” I hope to just generally have fun experimenting with different mediums on one page and learning what works and does not work together. So without further ado here is the first of many experimental pages in this sketchbook...
